Galloway Township, Atlantic County, NJ

Roofing, Siding & Windows in Galloway Township, NJ
— Quoted in 15 Minutes.

Chartered by Royal Patent in 1774 and once covering most of what is now Atlantic County, Galloway today still sprawls 88 square miles — 38,380 residents from the Forsythe refuge salt marsh near Reeds Bay to the sandy Pinelands inland, every construction permit funneled through one Community Development Department on Jimmie Leeds Road that now takes inspection requests only by e-mail. Where in that 88-mile spread your house sits is read off the aerial, the firm written number comes back on a 15-minute Zoom, and the only crew that ever turns onto your street is the one installing the job.

Why Galloway Homeowners Choose D'Bros

One Office, Eighty-Eight Square Miles.

Community Development, Run for You

Every Galloway construction permit goes through the Community Development Department on Jimmie Leeds Road, where inspection requests now have to be e-mailed to a township address with permit number, location and type. We prepare the application, send the e-mail inspection requests in the required format, and close the permit — the township's process is ours to manage.

Salt Marsh to Pinelands, Read Apart

A house near the Forsythe refuge salt marsh and one on the dry Pinelands sand inland are not the same exterior job — salt-air exposure on the bay side changes the fastener and flashing call. We read which part of the 88-square-mile township your address sits in off the aerial before anything is specified.

No Drive Across the Township

Crossing 88 square miles for a doorstep sales call would burn an afternoon on both sides. Instead the aerial measurement and 3D model are finished ahead of time, the firm written number is agreed on a 15-minute Zoom, and the install crew is the single D'Bros team that travels to the property — no matter which corner of Galloway it sits in.

Services in Galloway Township, NJ

Exterior Work Across Galloway's 88 Square Miles.

Same craftsmen, same materials, same warranties as any in-home contractor — without the in-home sales pitch.

Roofing in Galloway

An 88-square-mile township has no single roof type — a bay-side house near the salt marsh and a Pinelands-interior house carry different exposure loads. We read your exact roof off the aerial and a 3D model of its pitch and drainage, write the tear-off scope to that structure, and file with Community Development on Jimmie Leeds Road, sending the e-mail inspection requests in the township's required format.

Siding in Galloway

Salt air off the back-bay marsh near Reeds Bay attacks cladding and fasteners differently than the dry inland Pinelands sections. We model your actual envelope from the aerial, weight the material and seam detailing to your part of the township, and present the look and the firm price on a single 15-minute Zoom.

Windows & Doors in Galloway

We measure every opening off your facade and the aerial, drop the energy-efficient replacement into the 3D model so you see it before anything is ordered, and file the permit with Galloway Community Development — coordinating the township's e-mail inspection process so the install date holds.

Fences in Galloway

On Galloway's larger lots, property-line accuracy and the township's zoning rules come first. We pull your parcel from the aerial, model the run to your actual lines, file with Community Development's Land Use/Zoning side on Jimmie Leeds Road, and mark utilities before any post is set.

What Shapes Exterior Work in Galloway

Back-Bay Marsh, Pinelands Interior, One Big Township.

Galloway's size is the first fact — exterior work here turns on where in the township a house sits:

  • Coastal salt marsh: the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge — over 48,000 acres of coastal habitat, more than 78 percent salt marsh, with its southern boundary at Reeds Bay just outside Atlantic City — is headquartered in Galloway. Salt-air exposure on the bay side changes fastener, flashing and cladding selection.
  • Pinelands interior: step away from the marsh and Galloway turns to sandy Pinelands ground. The back-bay salt marsh accounts for nearly all of the 25.82 water square miles the Census Gazetteer records against the township's 88.668 of land, and that marsh-versus-sand contrast — not the headline acreage — is the reason a Galloway exterior scope is judged at the parcel and never off a township-wide figure.
  • One permit office for all of it: every construction permit across those 88 square miles routes through the Community Development Department on Jimmie Leeds Road, with the township's required e-mail inspection-request process. We run that one office wherever your address falls.
About Galloway Township, NJ

1774Royal Patent

Galloway Township was created by the Royal Patent of King George III of England on April 4, 1774. At that time it was part of Old Gloucester County and comprised all of what is now Hammonton, Mullica Township, Egg Harbor City, Port Republic, Brigantine, Atlantic City, and the northern part of Absecon — the township has been carved down ever since. Historians are unsure how it got its name: one theory points to the Galloway Mull area of Scotland, the other to Joseph Galloway, a Loyalist delegate to the Continental Congress. Galloway was an important Revolutionary-War shipping area and the site of the Battle of Chestnut Neck.

Today's township still carries that spread-out identity, with named sections — Leeds Point, where the township's own police history places the origin of the Jersey Devil legend, plus Oceanville, Pomona and Cologne. For exterior work the practical takeaways are scale and variety: 88 square miles, 38,380 residents, salt marsh on one edge and Pinelands on the other, all permitted through a single Community Development office on Jimmie Leeds Road.

Galloway Township FAQ

Questions Galloway Homeowners Ask.

For a Galloway re-roof or re-side, which desk handles the permit and how do inspections get booked?
One desk owns all of it: the Galloway Township Community Development Department — Construction, Planning, Land Use/Zoning and Code Enforcement together — at 300 East Jimmie Leeds Road, Galloway NJ 08205, (609) 652-3700 ext. 241, Construction Official Mark McCrane, township hours Monday–Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The wrinkle is the inspection booking: it is e-mail only, sent to INSPECT@GTNJ.ORG and required to carry the permit number, address, inspection type and the requestor's name and phone. Filing the application and sending those e-mail requests in exactly that format is on us, so the schedule never slips on a missed field.
Does it matter whether my Galloway house is near the bay or inland?
It does. The Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge — over 48,000 acres of coastal habitat, 78 percent salt marsh, southern boundary at Reeds Bay — is headquartered in Galloway, and salt air off the back bay attacks cladding and fasteners differently than the dry sandy Pinelands sections inland. We read which part of the 88-square-mile township your address sits in off the aerial before any material or flashing detail is specified.
An 88-square-mile township — is the whole thing covered, and which ZIPs fall in it?
All 88 square miles, end to end. Three ZIPs sit inside Galloway on the Census ZIP-to-municipality crosswalk — 08205 as the main one, plus 08215 and 08240 — and coverage runs the full footprint and on into the bordering trio of Hamilton Township, Estell Manor City and Folsom Borough. Schooling is the six-school Galloway Township Public School District at 101 S Reeds Road, NCES District 3405730.
What's the history behind Galloway's named sections like Leeds Point and Oceanville?
Galloway was chartered by Royal Patent in 1774 and once comprised much of the surrounding region — Hammonton, Egg Harbor City, Brigantine, Atlantic City and more — before being carved down over the centuries. The township's own police-department history records the Jersey Devil legend as originating in the Leeds Point section, alongside Oceanville, Pomona and Cologne. Those distinct sections are why we always confirm which part of the township your house is in before scoping a job.
Is an in-person site visit required before D'Bros prices a Galloway Township project?
No. Galloway has been shrinking from its 1774 Royal Patent footprint for two and a half centuries and still spans 88 square miles from Chestnut Neck to the Forsythe refuge marsh — a spread that argues for overhead reading, not a drive. Aerial imagery and a 3D model fix pitch, cladding and every opening from the address; the scope and firm price are settled on a 15-minute Zoom; and because the township itself now takes inspection requests only by e-mail, the lone D'Bros team that physically travels anywhere in those 88 miles is the install crew on build day.
